I admit,it has not been easy, I have tried to take images of these birds courting in mid air with every camera and lens combo for past four years and I got a few far away shots but, none as good as these. These birds fly at a supersonic speed and change their pattern so fast that it is hard to keep up with them and keep the focus on at all times.
So, I tried sorter focal length albeit a faster speed and waited for these shots. Yet, I had to crop them 100%so, you can imagine AF of the camera to get these shots.

Catching these blighters in flight must have taken significant time and effort, correct? Or were you in the right place and at the right time? Either way, getting the shot as sharp as you did took skill and that first image is frameworthy and really shows...
